The War of the Worlds
A downloadable game for Windows

It was an uneventful summer—until the green flashes began.
For months, astronomers watched Mars with growing unease, tracking strange bursts of emerald light across its surface. If only we’d known they were the first warning signs of an invasion.
Experience the Martian onslaught as H.G. Wells imagined it—through the eyes of an ordinary person: untrained, unequipped, and utterly unprepared for what’s coming.
Stealth, Survival, and Evasion
Although survival mechanics like hunger and fatigue are present, at its core, this is a stealth game.
Every action—unlocking a door, rummaging through supplies, even running—risks drawing attention.
Make too much noise, and you won’t just be noticed... you’ll be hunted.
If you're spotted—run. Break line of sight. Keep moving. Stay alive.
Dynamic World & Invasion
Watch the world unravel in real-time. What begins as a peaceful island nation is slowly, relentlessly transformed into a scorched war zone—then something far more alien. Towns fall. Landscapes twist. The invaders reshape Earth in their own image.
Custom Game Modes
Probably my favorite addition to the project. Tweak the apocalypse to your liking. Choose from three core modes—or build your own custom scenario by adjusting key parameters, including but not limited to:
NPC Population : Scale up the chaos or isolate yourself in silence.
Invasion Pacing : Control how quickly the Martians take over.
Martian Awareness: Tune how perceptive the invaders are.
Survival Rules: Change variables like hunger, fatigue, and other stressors - or turn them off to focus on pure stealth.
One of the most powerful features in the game, this is built for flexibility—and it’s only getting deeper. More modifiers, more sliders, and more ways to shape the invasion are on the way.
Curious about the game’s evolution?
